The Flea Market was a big success. Lots of buyers and a good amount of money was raised for the museum. A full report later.
A fundraising flea market and book sale (as well as a bake sale) to support the museum's work (exhibitions and collections) will take place on Saturday, March 8 from 10 AM - 3PM in the Smith Center's huge auditorium (20 Chestnut Hill Ave), in the the same building as the museum.
Donations of items (useful goods and books) to sell are still needed. Items can be brought to the Smith Center Auditorium Stage (2nd Floor on the elevator) during normal business hours of 8 AM - 4 PM. Just leave them on the stage with your name so we know who donated what. Items can also be brought on the day of the sale (Saturday morning, March 8) between 9-10 AM.
Volunteers can offer their assistance at the Flea market by contacting Sharon Cayley at scayley@mit.edu. Just let Sharon know when your available and she's connect you with a needed assignment.
